Stereotypes

Students will benefit from a lesson that deals with common stereotypes.

One simple recipe is to put on the board – “All …. are …..!” Then, make a statement and ask students for their reply/reaction.

Continue with this, making common stereotypes and reacting to them. For example;

All Chinese are good at math!
– No, they aren’t. Look at Paul!
– No way. It’s because more take math classes.
