Jeopardy is a great way to review your student learning and to motivate your students. Also a good game for a camp or a class that likes competition.

If you have a computer, use many of the games/templates on EFL Classroom 2.0. (Also go to the bottom of the Games page for flash jeopardy games). Just change the slides for questions specific to your students.

If you don’t have a computer, use THIS brainstorming worksheet. Students create the questions for Jeopardy based on the categorizes and brainstorming in the mind map.

Go around the classroom, each group taking turns to ask their questions. I have students reply by knocking lightly. This way, it is easier for the teacher to tell who was first. Make sure to have a prize handy for the winning team (or just let them leave class first!)

Here too are some great trivia questions, 1,000s of them!

Hello,

This might have been a repeat game, but I just heard a question today, July 28, 2009, answer being Azerbeijan and indicating neighbor countries being Georgia, Iran and Russia and excluding Armenia and actually Armenia was not even on the map. The question is misleading. Is there someone at Jeopardy staff that wishes Armenia didn’t exist????
